Pundi X (NPXS), a Crypto Startup earlier released a Point-of-Sale (POS) device with the primary purpose of making cryptocurrency payments easier on the go. The firm now claims that it has made the first-ever phone call on its new blockchain phone, known as XPhone. The call was made at the XBlockchain Summit two-day event at the Inaya Putri, Bali.

As per the announcement, Xphone can operate fully independent from a centralized mobile carrier by utilizing the Function X Blockchain, a new chain which allows secure and effective data transfer.

As per Pitt Huang, Co-founder of Pundi X, the new blockchain Function X includes five important components which make it a truly decentralized solution. These are Function X OS, Function X Blockchain, Function X IPFX, FXTP Protocol, and the Function X Docker. The Function X OS is based on the Android OS 9.0, enabling backward compatibility with Android apps, said the firm. Hence it will be easier for developers and users to operate the platform. Also, new DApps (Decentralized Apps) will be simple to create and publish, the firm said.

Huang also said that each device on the Function X ecosystem would operate as a “node and each will possess its own address and private key, especially linked to their node names, not unlike traditional URL and IP address.”

Users will be able to access their public data via a specific path same as what we type on our computers when visiting a website online. Details such as photos, files or websites of users can be accessed from this path. The path will be “FXTP://xxx.pitt”, with “pitt” refers for the user's name on the network. Users will also be able to use different such as call, text or email on Xphone. Users can do this by using pre-defined commands like “call.pit” or “message.pitt.”
