PewDiePie, the character behind the most-subscribed station on YouTube, will begin streaming on blockchain video platform DLive as of April 14, the company declared in a press release on April 9.

DLive, a blockchain-powered broadcasting program that comprises a rewards platform for content creators, will soon be “the exclusive live streaming platform” for famous Swedish YouTuber Felix Kjellberg, much better called PewDiePie, the media release notes.

According to decentralized blockchain protocol Lino, DLive asserts to permit both content manufacturers and audiences to make rewards for their involvement in content production and ingestion in the kind of Lino tokens, the indigenous cryptocurrency of their Lino blockchain. According to the press release, DLive currently has over 3 million monthly active users and 35,000 busy streamers.

PewDiePie declared the partnership through his daily “meme review” video on 9 April 2019, including he will soon be streaming live on Dlive shortly. He said,

“I’m partnering up with Dlive, it is a live streaming platform… Dlive’s mission is to empower creators… through their revolutionary reward system… personally, I think its really cool to have creator-based website, actually putting creators first. I’m really excited about Dlive and I’m really excited to be live streaming again.”

In addition, he added that he'll do his very first livestream by devoting to content creators who livestream on Dlive. Pewdiepie added he is going to be donating, Mr. Beast-style, to founders, with contributions ranging from $10,000 to $50,000.
